I have sort of halfway inherited my dad's Dual 1226 and the needle is completely hosed - it's basically bent in half. I'd like to keep the cart, but I'm not sure where a good place to buy a stylus would be, if I have to get NOS or if I can get something recently manufactured.
Right now I've got the needle from another Stanton cart he had in it, and it seems to work, but I'm assuming that's probably not a great idea long term. I just wanted to check if the turntable worked electronically before I try and fix the automatic mode.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
